Superdry sees sales soar

12/05/2010

Top fashion brand Superdry has witnessed a rise in sales over the past year, according to the latest financial results from the company.

It anticipates that pre-tax profits from the past financial year will be no less than £25.7 million it predicted earlier this year.

SuperGroup, the company behind the brand, said its total sales were up by 83 per cent in the year leading up to May 2nd.

UK sales alone increased to £85 million, which it believes is partly due to the extended roll-out of the fashion brand across the country.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, chief executive Julian Dunkerton said: "Walk down the high street and tell us who's vulnerable. It won't be us. You'll say 'That's the future, and that's the past'."

Superdry was recently involved in a project that saw students from Gloucestershire University travel to Shanghai to take part in a photography competition.
