Sports fashion brand Bogner opens new store

Sports fashion label Bogner, which has been operating for 75 years, has announced plans to open a 450 sq m outlet in Cologne.
Sportswear International reports that the shop has been designed specifically with nature in mind, as this is the ethos of the brand and a 7.3 metre-high ash tree can be found in-store that was taken from the Bavarian forest.
Owned by Will Bogner GmbH & Co, which is situated in Munich, the flagship outlet will feature both mens and womenswear, as well as accessories and the company's sports fashion line, Bogner Fire + Ice.
Those interested in learning about the history of the firm will also be able to do so as one of the walls displays a collage detailing the business's past.
Last month, Willy Bogner was appointed as the new chairman of the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games bid committee.
Bogner, himself a former Olympic contestant, is also a successful film producer.
