Pitti Uomo to undergo a redesign

Designer fashion show Pitti Uomo, which is due to take place in Florence between January 12th and 15th 2010, is undergoing a refurbishment before the main event next year.
The central pavilion of the trade show will be reworked for this month's catwalk affair by Patricia Urquiola, who is renowned as one of the world's finest figures in contemporary architecture and design, Sportswear International reports.
Furthermore, she will continue to redesign the venue's interior to include pop-up boutiques that will be displaying luxury goods such as cosmetics and accessories handpicked by Pitti Uomo's fashion headhunters.
Also to be featured for the first time is a Taste Lounge, a restaurant inside the Fortezza offering guests Italian delicacies as part of the fashion show's annual event, Taste.
Pitti Uomo is one considered to be one of the most important listings on the fashion show calendar, with thousands of people from all over the world descending on Florence to be in attendance, Expo Menu reports.
The 2010 experience will be Pitti Uomo's 77th edition.
