Paul Smith 25th anniversary collection celebrates Big Apple

Clothing and accessories brand Paul Smith has unveiled a new limited edition collection that celebrates New York.

The line has been created to mark 25 years of the company's presence in the US city, with each item in the range featuring an apple, Haute Living reports.

It is a response by the designer to New York's nickname The Big Apple and marks the opening of the first store in the east coast metropolis at 108 Fifth Ave, with shirts, wallets, posters and watches all available.

Paul Smith showcased his autumn/winter 2012 menswear show recently in Paris, with the theme of the collection "deep under the sea" and the palette comprising navy, dark emeralds and browns, contrasted with orange, neon yellow and scotchlite trims.

Models took to the runway in the French capital on January 22nd wearing modern clothing in elegant shapes inspired by classic maritime styles, with nautical references and bright and graphic prints featuring details such as corals and shark's teeth.
