Michael Kors 'ready for more success'

16/06/2010

Top fashion designer Michael Kors has no intention of quitting after 29 years in the business, he has revealed.

The 50-year-old told the Associated Press that there is still much more to come from his fashion label.

He pointed out that luxury fashion designers need to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and give the public what they want.

Kors explained: "If you're a modern designer and involved in dressing people for real life, not costumes, the simple truth is fashion is about the zeitgeist.

"It's about what's right for the moment so the designers have to be plugged in and aware of what's going on."

He noted that people are now in search of simple fashion, so gone are the days of "clunky heels" and rompers, he told the news provider, as classic styles will instead dominate.

Among some of the items in Kors' summer collection are monochrome dresses, animal print accessories, while studs and zips add some stylish detail.
