Crocs posts positive first quarter results

27/05/2010

The first three months of 2010 have proved positive for Crocs, as it has announced a 23.7 per cent rise in revenue on the same period of last year.

Its wholesale sales witnessed the biggest growth, followed by retail and internet-based transactions.

The biggest market for the brand is currently Asia, where revenue streams increased by 40.3 per cent, followed by Europe with a 34.3 per cent increase.

"Our strategy to return to profitable growth in 2010 has not changed and this positive start to the year positions us well to execute against that," commented John McCarvel, president and chief executive officer.

He added that the profits seen in the first quarter show Crocs is a resilient brand and company.

Earlier this year, Crocs launched its new Feel the Love line for spring/summer, promising to offer styles and colours for every occasion.

It said the material used for the shoes is effective at conforming and cushioning feet.
